Who am I?

A native speaker Brazilian AD Writer and QCer.

My main objective is to provide Audio Description and review of scripts in Brazilian Portuguese (BPO) for films, series, cartoons, documentaries and any other streaming video or media.

Background

Postgraduate in English Translation by Estácio de Sá University, São Paulo, Brazil.

Affiliated to APTRAD (Association of Translators and Interpreters (Portugal).

I have worked with AD since 2018, writing AD for more than 140 children's books, 130 paintings and sculptures, 100 pictures and posts and other productions.

Speaker in Translation Conferences and events.

AD teacher in partnership with Luciane Molina, a blind AD consultant, for more than 300 students.

AD script writer for films and QCer of more than 350 scripts for episodes of series and videos for Netflix and other audiovisual productions.

Owner of Look by Sound channel on YouTube, exclusively for Audio Description.

With more than 500 hours of AD courses taken in Brazil.

Scriptwriting

Offer detailed AD scriptwriting for streaming videos, ensuring visually impaired audiences do not miss out any important details of the characters, highlighting their physical, gestures, and actions, describing objects and places, and all main visual elements to provide context and let the audience know what happens in the scenes.

Quality Control (QC)

Encourage script writers to follow the AD guidelines, give them insightful feedback and also suggestions about their choices, in order to have accessible and enjoyable scripts for visually impaired people.
